The Industrial Rescue Technician Level is the starting point for KES employee rescue training. At the completion of this one day training the participant will be able to assist in 90% of the rescue potentials KES will encounter. There is a primary focus on equipment recognition, using standard tripods with cable winches and SRLs, patient packaging and scene management.

This level of training requires a higher level of rope rigging including the setup of the TerrAdaptor in the tripod configuration. The RCP is capable of recognizing unsafe rescue/work conditions and may order a work stoppage until the unsafe condition is corrected.
The Rescue Qualified Person is the individual that can handle the remaining and exceedingly rare 1% complex rescues. The Rescue Qualified Person is the individual that can handle the remaining and exceedingly rare 1% complex rescues. This individual will need to commit to approximately 2 years of training in advanced rigging, including applied rigging physics. The RQP will be authorized to design custom rescue systems that are fully compliant with OSHA regulations.
Additionally, the RQP is capable of fully understanding and operating advanced horizontal rope systems, personal vertical mobility and advanced setups of the TerrAdaptor, including mono-pods, bipods, and various cantilever configurations. The RQP will also meet the requirements for a Lead Instructor for KES rescue classes.
Rescue Qualified Person training will be scheduled throughout the year for KES employees that caters to the availability of the participant.
